Same great blog, savvy new name. There are a couple of reasons for this: 1)I’ve always wanted my own domain name and pennyscout.com was taken. 2) No one calls me Penny anymore, and when I try to introduce myself that way at gatherings it just gets confusing. 3) I can’t promise I’ll do away with all of the anticivilizational rants and celebrity gossip-style articles, after all those are the most fun to write, but in the interest of business I’m looking at attracting more “normal” Portlanders, who are interested in foraging to my work, thus the more “professional” title. We will see how it all works out. The old articles are still going to be archived for those who wish to delve deeper into my philosophy.
